Alison has been part of our Fixed conferences from the beginning. For the last 23 years Alison, has travelled across the UK and other nations to communicate God’s truths. Prior to this, Alison spent many years battling alcohol addiction and using recreational drugs on the party scene. Her experience with the horrors of addiction led her to develop a chaplaincy ministry for women in Suffolk who are involved in the sex industry. Alison is a gifted speaker and a mentor to emerging evangelists.
Andy is a former captain to the England amateur boxing team & a world class professional fighter. He has shared a boxing ring with 11 world champions including Nigel Benn, Chris Eubanks & Joe Calzache to name a few. After his career finished, Andy became an alcoholic & drug addict. After nearly losing his life, everything in it, going to prison 3 times, he felt the only way out was death and tried to take his own life. It wasn’t until he asked Jesus into his corner with prayer that he was set free from all his addictions. He is the author of the book ‘Jesus in my corner’ it’s a boxer’s journey from hell to Christianity.
Anthony and his band from Victory Outreach have been involved in leading worship at Fixed for the past four years, both in the evening & for the entire day. We have the pleasure of him & the band doing the same again this year. He has been a worship leader at VO since the late 1990s in London and became part of VO’s international worship leadership team in 2009. Anthony is currently the worship leader at VO in Manchester. He continues to serve on VO’s international team, coordinating music for all their international conferences.
Barry grew up in Salford, Greater Manchester. At 16, he left school with no qualifications and became drawn into the Manchester music and drugs scene. This led to a life of heroin addiction and drug dealing. After being dependent on heroin for fifteen years and spending a number of terms in prison, Barry had what he describes as a ‘religious experience’, which resulted in his life being totally transformed. He is a contemporary communicator who is humorous, passionate and inspirational.
Marvin/Crown grew up on an Estate in South Manchester, notorious for violence and crime. Anger issues and insecurities led him into fighting, reacting negatively, carrying weapons and gang affiliation. He fell in love with Hip-Hop and his love for music kept him from falling deeper into the streets and crime. After a throat operation, he was told that there was a high chance that he would never rap again but God miraculously healed him. Crown became a Christian in 2013 and now has his own record label ‘Iron Sharpens Iron,’ using music to engage and present the Gospel.
Hasina shared at Fixed ’18 & ‘19 through a Spoken Word and we are excited to have her back. Hasina has a powerful story of restoration and transformation. Growing up she built her identity on her sexuality, she was angry at life and the people in it. This led to a drug and alcohol addiction, a life of crime and prison until meeting Jesus in 2013 when her life was transformed. Now working with addicts and serving in the local church in Bristol as a youth leader, she has a passion for people to come to know the truth in Christ, to know their identity and live in freedom.
Paul is a regular feature at our Fixed conferences. Paul is from London and is a testimony to the transforming power of Jesus Christ. He was a heroin addict and a violent criminal for 12 years but is now a husband to Vicky, a father and the senior pastor of Victory Outreach, Manchester. He is also the Victory Outreach International director for the UK and Germany region. Paul has 23 years’ experience working with people with life-controlling conditions
This will be Trudy’s fourth year running speaking at Fixed, and it is great to have her back. She has a powerful story and is passionate about reaching out to the lost, broken and downtrodden. Trudy’s life was caught in addiction, crime and prostitution before her life was transformed. Since then, she has managed a rehab centre, ministered in prisons and travels sharing her story and the gospel message in the UK and abroad. Trudy is part of the leadership team at E5 City Church in Bristol.
